6 months in
Had my 6 month follow up with my doctor and she is so thrilled. My labs look so good. For the first time in years I have no new diagnosis. In fact some of my borderline or pre symptoms for new conditions are now testing in normal or low!!! Now we can finally better see what symptoms might be their own separate condition. She gave me a good action plan for the next few months to help me figure out the best dosage for me on some of my other medications. Now that I don’t have so many symptoms I can hopefully more clearly see how each is effecting me. The goal being to move down to the lowest dose needed to treat the condition. Several of my conditions aggravate each other so it’s hard to assign a medication to a few of them because of how other conditions affected these ones so figuring out if they were separate conditions or part of another one is difficult does that make sense? So now that a lot of those are under control we’re looking at treatment for some of these that have been on the back burner because I couldn’t tell if the medication‘s were working or not so I’m super excited to keep moving forward on my health journey and I hope I continue to see improvement. my first diagnosis was in 2017 so this has been a super long road for me and I was definitely discouraged because things just kept getting worse every year and I just kept getting new symptoms and conditions and diagnosis every year. I am still overwhelmed. I have a long list of things I have to start doing and focus on now that’s different than my previous goals as things change the biggest one being working out weight training, stamina those kinds of things and to start doing my physical therapy again… kind of got in trouble because I haven’t done it in like three months . Oops 😜 I am also down 41 pounds and for the first time in at least 15 years my wedding ring fit! I am so excited 😆
