Week 1 down…the journey has begun
I’m in week 2. I went down 7.6 in week one. But up 1lb after having wine and takeout…and feeling “uncomfortable” in my skin.
So, this week I’m still down 6.6 overall. My target weight is 160lbs.
I have a lot of fear over being smaller in size. I’m an hour glass shape and developed early. For over 40years I’ve used weight as my shield. I’ve been doing a lot of work on myself.
I’ve come to realize that all the times boys and men made comments about my body was their bad behaviour. Being accosted on trains in Japan, followed home by masturbating men, comments about my breasts, teachers gawking (grade 6) and feeling for a bra strap, boys snapping my bra…that is all on them!
It’s shameful how boys and men are able to treat women so poorly. It’s no wonder we live in fear and protect ourselves the best we can.
I’m in my 50’s and taking back my power!!!

I hope all parents out there (and society) will help to raise better men!!!
